Clement Yu: President, CEO
Clement Yu has led Global Marketing Associates, Inc. since 1993. Clement’s in-depth knowledge of the industry and experience sourcing and introducing products from around the world while ensuring quality standards has helped earn Global Marketing and Clement an excellent and lasting reputation in the industry. Clement has also been serving as owner and/or director of multiple nutraceutical manufacturers in China. Clement was a Founding Sponsor of the Method Validation Program, Institute for Nutraceutical Advancement, that helped establish standards for testing nutraceutical ingredients. He also occasionally serves on committees at AHPA. Prior to entrance to the supplements industry, Clement was a manager at Hewlett Packard for Asia Pacific, Australia/NZ and Latin America regions. Clement holds and MBA and is a licensed CPA in the state of Washington.
Kenneth Yeung: Chairman of the Board
Kenneth Yeung has been providing direction for Global Marketing since 1993. Kenneth has a down-to-earth personality, and his successful business career is guided by honesty and diligence. Through the years, Kenneth has provided multiple introductions to unique suppliers and products that have resulted in successful partnerships for Global Marketing. Kenneth is probably most known for his role as President and CEO of Prince of Peace® Enterprises, Inc., which he founded in 1985. He initially developed herbal teas, but the business later grew with their introduction of Tiger Balm, ginseng extracts and organic teas to the US market. He is also a partner in multiple manufacturing and distribution companies around the world. Kenneth is active in non-profit and charity work: He is the Founder of Prince of Peace Foundation and Children’s Home in Tianjin; Founder of “Showers of Blessings” TV Ministry; winner of the First Chinese Charity Awards of China; Overseas Representative at the 10th National Committee of CPPCC, Honorary President of Teo Chew Community Centre Inc. of Northern California; Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Herb Trade Association of Northern California; Honorary President of the Oriental Herb Trade Association of America; Winner of the U.S. Chinese Business Charity Award.
Jack Klein: Founder, Product Development & Strategic Marketing
Jack Klein has over 30 years sales and marketing experience in the nutraceutical industry. Jack founded one of the first herbal tea companies in the early 1970s. After the successful sale of the company, he founded and acted as President of Global Marketing Associates, Inc. During his early years at Global Marketing, Jack successfully co-launched Omega 3 and Omega 6 Fatty Acids with Traco Labs; was the exclusive exporter of U.S. supplements and health foods to Daiei Drugs, the largest retail chain of stores in Japan; introduced CO Q10; and pioneered the sales of Ginkgo Biloba in the U.S. He also helped develop a unique technology to enhance the attributes of garlic that is now being sold in the nation’s #1 selling garlic supplement and in other brands. Jack has served in consultant roles in the natural products industry since 1990, specializing in strategic planning and marketing for individual products and companies, product development, and sales support. His consulting clients have included a number of key players in the industry: American Ingredients/Pharmachem, Cancer Wellness Institute, Glaxo SmithKline, La Haye Labs, Leiner Health Products, Müggenburg Extract, R.P. Scherer, Twin Labs and Unilever. His consulting roles include sales and marketing, strategic planning for individual product launches as well as for companies, and product development and formulations research for innovative products and technologies.
Grant Washington-Smith: Technical Support & Nutritional Physiology
Grant Washington-Smith’s rich background in physiology provides Global Marketing with excellent product development advice and direct technical support to Global Marketing’s customers. With degrees in human physiology and an MBA, Grant offers 20+ years of experience in commercial development in the life science industry from concept ideation to clinical validation. His efforts have resulted in the launch of several new product and ingredient brands in the US and Europe. Grant served for several years at Amway before founding Roseville Consulting, a nutraceutical consultancy firm focusing on technical and commercial development of early stage health and nutrition technologies. Grant is also an associate with Jack Klein & Associates. Grant also maintains a long, close relationship with the Department of Food, Nutrition and Human Health at Massey University in New Zealand and is a frequent speaker at conferences and writer for industry publications such as Nutraceuticals World.
