The Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) can be found worldwide as a plant of the wastelands. The herb is obtained from plants growing in the wild in central and eastern Europe (the eastern part of Germany, former USSR, Bulgaria, and former Yugoslavia). The aerial plant parts with stems not more than 3 mm thick are collected during the flowering period and dried.
